Hello, this is Director Robin.

It’s already time for my thirteenth letter.

The weather has gotten noticeably hotter, and summer feels closer than ever.

I’d like to share some schedules and plans for upcoming updates in this letter, so I hope Guardians stay with us until the end of the letter.
 

Notice on Content Update Schedule Delays

■ Dark Magician Beth

We had planned to release the Myth of ‘Dark Magician Beth’ and ‘Idol Captain Eva ’ on June 10.

However, due to personal circumstances of the Korean voice actress of Beth, the recording for Beth's Myth voice was delayed, so her Myth has been postponed.

Once the voice recording is complete, we’ll release the Myth of Dark Magician Beth, and we hope you also look forward to Idol Captain Eva's Myth.

 

 

■ New Guild Content (GVG)

We’re designing the Guild vs Guild system(which was noticed shortly before) as a competition over multiple strongholds in the form of castles, with offense and defense between guilds.

The mode will progress as single-player > co-op > competitive multiplayer, with different rewards for each castle.

However, we've decided that more time is needed for design review and testing to ensure stable gameplay, so the guild content originally planned for May in Korea is now scheduled for July or August.

We ask for your understanding and promise to do our best to bring you fun and exciting battles.

 

■ World 22

Since many Guardians love and follow the Guardian Tales story closely, we’re refining the structure and narrative, improving various details and quality.

To ensure a more improved experience, we’ve rescheduled the World 22 update to around August, following the 5th anniversary and guild content updates.
 

 

Other Upcoming Update News

■ Summer Short Story

We’re preparing a new short story for summer, focusing on Rie and her rival and friend, Randy.

It’s in the final stages of development and is scheduled for release in June, Please look forward to it!

 

■ PvP Balance Adjustment for Grade 5 Heroes

We’re preparing buffs that increase attack and reduce damage for Grade 5 heroes for PvPs.

Since these buffs are limited to Grade 5 units, they won’t apply to Myth upgraded Heroes.

We plan to implement them in Arena and Master Arena first, around June–July updates in Korea. We will provide further details via notices.

 

■ New Sources for Latent Awakening Stones and Red Shards

We’re preparing a way for you to purchase Latent Awakening and Red Shards through gem shop events.

We hope this addition will provide some relief for players who’ve had trouble obtaining enough materials.

 

■ New Event

We’re preparing a surprise event called “Speed Quiz Show,” where you’ll answer various questions and earn rewards based on how many correct answers you get.

We hope this event will be a chance to show off your Guardian Tales knowledge and bring back old memories; we’ll share more details once the event is ready.

 

■ Hero Tower

The Hero Tower for “Little Android AA72” will be added with the May 27 update.

Since many Korean players have found the final three stages too difficult, we’re working to adjust their difficulty.

And since many players are enjoying the Hero Tower, we’ll be expanding it from 3 to 5 stages to offer more gameplay and rewards.

 

The first half of 2025 has brought a lot of updates and improvements, but also some regrets and areas for further improvement.

We will finish the remaining first-half updates and finalize the roadmap for the second half.

Writing these letters to share small stories with you has been a new experience, and I deeply appreciate all the encouragement and feedback you've sent.

While we’re putting the letters on hold to focus on creating new content, we aim to continue communication through future Q&A sessions and other formats.

We truly appreciate your ongoing presence and hope you’ll keep showing your affection for Guardian Tales in the future.
