ANNOUNCEMENTS MAY 28. 2025 CHEAT DETECTION AND VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS

Since the update on May 27, 2025, we've identified cases where certain virtual environment setups have triggered our cheat detection system and where account restrictions have been applied.

To maintain fair gameplay, Guardian Tales includes a cheat detection system that prevents the use of unauthorized software and client modifications.  Some virtual devices (including cloud server-based ones) may alter app files, which may in turn affect gameplay and trigger our anti-cheat system.

Please note that warning messages will appear when a cheat detection is triggered, and only if these warnings are repeatedly ignored will account access be restricted.

Does this mean that I will get banned for using an emulator?

From a technical standpoint, an emulator is different from a virtual environment, but there are similarities.

There are two important things to keep in mind.

1. You will not get instantly and irrevocably banned for using an emulator; there is always a warning first.
2. If you receive a warning, take it seriously. Repeatedly ignoring the warning will get your account banned.

Please also note that while using an emulator to play Guardian Tales isn't explicitly forbidden, it is also not supported, and we're unable to assist with issues that may arise while playing on an emulator. To avoid any issues, we recommend playing Guardian Tales on a supported phone or tablet.

If you receive a warning of a cheat detection while using an emulator, and if using a phone/tablet isn't an available option, consider switching to another emulator.

If your account was banned on or after May 27, 2025, due to a cheat detection you suspect was triggered by the use of an emulator, please contact our support team, and we will review your case.

Finally, please keep in mind that cheat detection is in place to ensure fair play and a secure gaming experience, and we ask for your understanding.
